The Cycling Federation of Serbia (BSS - for short) counts a great number of registered cycling clubs and several clubs for mountain cycling. The state organizes many competitions in various disciplines and categories, but most significant tournament is the International Cycling Race – Tour de Serbie, founded in 1939. The race is held in June and has around 300 international participants. The Danube Bike Trail (DBT) 1040 km, asphalt and tarmac, moderately difficult, passes through Serbia and bears the designation EuroVelo-Route 6 which means it lies on the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) Atlantic – Black Sea route. Routes for mountain biking exist on Zlatibor, Mokra Gora, Tara, Homolje mountains, Old mountain…etc.
In addition to providing fun for amateur cyclists as well, Serbian diverse landscape is perfect with its stunning valleys, gorges, rivers and especially the traditional hospitality of Serbian people.
