Serbia Tourism - Visit Serbia and take a new look at your old neighbour

Health resorts & spas

There exist today in Serbia more than 40 spas offering a large palette of lodgings and activities. The thermal sources have been exploited since the Roman ages especially in the centre of Serbia. The mineral waters are numerous and present an important variety of the mineral compositions. This explains the multitude of climatic stations in the low mountain region which, because of their mild climate and their water quality have therapeutic virtues for the pulmonary, neurologic or cardiovascular problems.

The spas of the highest reputations are Vrnjacka Banja, Sokobanja, Mataruska Banja or Niska Banja. In addition to their paramedical activities, the always agreeable natural framework as the hotel and the sport infrastructures of quality do attract the tourists for peaceful and reposing holidays. Certain of them as Arandjelovac or Vrnjacka Banja have developed the festivals and cultural happenings (classical concerts, literary evenings) which are adding a few trumps to their natural attraction.
