Four stars, appeared 2003, understood for businessmen. It consists of 20 great rooms, the king size beds and cable channels. The furniture has not been selective enough for the price, but there are a cabinet and a couch for reception of the colleagues. The bathrooms are brand new with all modern equipment. An Internet and video conference halls. One hundred meters away from the business centre, exceptional to the businessmen. Single room 46 euros, double room 70 euros.

HOTEL SALAS 137****, National road, Cenej, Phone: +381 (0)21 714 501

A few kilometres away from Novi Sad, a unique place. Here there had been a Hungarian farm with cereal cultures and there had been established a complex of a new kind. The farm had been transformed into a de luxe hotel and the traditional restaurant, but the Salas 137 especially contains many clubs: the horse race club: “Jastreb”, the archer club “Novi Sad” end even the “Safari club” (sic). Every club member has to pay a subscription for the maintenance of the complex. In any case there are 15 rooms of a high level furniture of the XIX century, some times even more ancient. Very nice garden, sauna and Internet. Single room for 50 euros, double for 66 euros. 

Nice and comfortable

A little hotel in the very centre of the ancient town, minute and hospitable. Ideal to cruise through the pedestrians’ artery in the Zmaj Jovina street there is a well designed blue and yellow plan, then you go to the bottom of the gallery-passage 8. Fifteen rooms and 3 apartments of a high comfort in the modern woodwork and with the selected furniture all of them have got a mini-bar. Air-conditioning, the satellite channels and especially the bathrooms of the newest fashion. The dining hall has been also agreeable, and the breakfast a true feast. The choice a la carte and an irreproachable service the proprietor speaks French perfectly and the personnel has accustomed to the foreigners. In the peacefulness and in the heart of the city a nook to the romantic lovers couples. Single room for 49 euros, double room 68 euros, the apartment starting from 105 euros.

Just in front of the Bus and Railway Stations, a great establishment from 1970. More than 120 rooms, 3 seminary halls, one restaurant , bar, discothèque and the games hall. The Novi Sad hotel remains a great establishment of reference. The rooms are correct but not more. Air-conditioning, TV, telephone, but the bathrooms old fashioned and in the shades going to the maroon for decoration. Single room 45 euros, double room 63 euros.

The most ancient establishment in the town, situated at the central square. The rooms inveterate. You would feel like being in a provincial hotel in 1950s. It is a pity that its two restaurants are on the way and the restaurant has been keeping good aspects of the ancient times. Many shops and even a discotheque. Single room 32 euros.

A case outside all hotels of Novi Sad. The outside of a “Relay of Castles”, but the old fashioned rooms. Nevertheless the rooms of an undeniable quality. All rooms have a view to the Danube, the hunters’ halls and the stairs in marble and the splendid chandeliers had been classified the historical monuments, not to mention many restoration, conference and ball halls. One remembers the triumphant entering of Tito and Haile Selassy during the great period of the non-aligned. The problem has been that the debts and the unpaid bills had led to the heroic choice: some rooms have got little water, the bathrooms are suffering the lack of maintenance, and sometimes there are water interruptions. A glance has been sufficient to the most courageous to remember the unforgettable souvenirs. Double room 2600 Dinars.

Good bargain

A little to the side, but the best quality/price ratio. A recent establishment with the modern comfort, situated at the road border. The furniture not uniform, but modern of the IKEA type. The interest has been that there is a mini-bar in them, TV, and especially the spacious bathroom. Comfortable restaurant, the 100 places terrace and a parking place. But also a single room for 34 euros.

More central and agreeable enough. A little hotel of 28 rooms near the two stations and very recent (March 2001). The rooms have been air-conditioned and the mini-bar with rather nice decoration, the shades peacefully yellow orange. But they are a little small and the bathrooms are less than desired. Three more comfortable apartments. The meeting hall and a garden. A good address indeed. Single room 28 euros in the ancient part and 46 euros in the renewed part. Double room 37 and 56 euros.
