ROAD FEST IN ZRENJANIN

Festival organized in the end of June by the founders of the Woodstock Festival! Big musical event in Serbia!

From 28 to 30 June 2007, the new music festival “ROAD FEST”  will be promoted in Serbia. The festival will take place on the island of Ada Sumica on the river Begej in the town of Zrenjanin. The founder of this festival is the same team that created the Woodstock festival in 1969. Arti Cornfield, its main "creator" is in charge of this “Road Festival” too and he promised to be in Zrenjanin on the 28th June.

The artists will be performing on 3 stages and 100 000 visitors are being expected. The organization of this event amounts to 3,5 million euros.

The most popular names of the contemporary music will be performing between the 28th and 30th June. On the main stage we’ll be able to see and hear Metallica, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Motorhead, The Cult, Deep Purple, Jamiroquai, Duran Duran, Joe Cocker, Foo Fighters.

On the electro stage – Daft Punk and The Prodigy. The participation of the German band Kraftwerk is yet to be confirmed.

The artists of the ethno music like Kal, Orkestar Bobana Markovica, Esma Redzepova, Vrelo and the  band Gogolj Bordel, will perform on the World Stage.

Before the festival during two days - 26th and 27th June - some local Serbian bands will heat up the scene.

The main sponsors of the “Road Festival” are Harley Davidson, Apple Inc and Levi Strauss. Two camps will be available during the Festival to accomodate all the interested.

The tickets are on sale: 5 days of festival partying, camping, parking and all entertainment events that will follow the festival is available at the price of so for 60 euros. Make sure to get your ticket ON time as the number of tickets is limited!
