Jat doubled the number of charter flights

Serbian national air company JAT - news!

Jat Airways transported in September this year 141,677 passengers, 287 tons of cargo and 42 tons of mail. In comparison with the same month last year the number of transported passengers was up by 17 percent, while cargo was down 18 percent and mail 33 percent. CLF index was 2.8 i.e. it was up 67 percent. The most significant growth was recorded in charter flights and the number of flights and passengers doubled in comparison with the last year’s data.

In September, 23 days earlier that last year, Jat transported its millionth passenger. Aircraft from Jat Airways’ fleet in September recorded 3708 hour-blocks of flying. The average daily flying hours of the fleet were 10:19 block hours, which is an 18 percent increase in comparison to the same month last year.

In the period January-September 2007, Jat Airways transported 1,044,290 passengers, 2384 tons of cargo and 385 tons of mail. In comparison with the same period last year, the number of transported passengers was up by 9 percent, while transport of cargo was down by 7 percent and mail by 25 percent, CLF was 63 percent, which is up to index 4 and ALF (aircraft load factor) was up to index 3. The highest rise in the number of transported passengers was recorded in the charter traffic, which was 71 percent.

Aircraft from Jat’s fleet realized in the first nine months 29,732 block hours of flying, which is a 5 percent increase in comparison with the last year.

The average daily flying hours performed by the whole fleet in the period January-September 2007 were 9:33 block hours, which was by 11 percent higher in comparison with the same period last year.
